Hearts Leap North

Coming Soon, Hearts Leap Kensington!

Hearts Leap North is located North Berkeley in the All Souls Episcopal Church building and is walkable to shops and restaurants on Shattuck Ave. We serve families from all areas of Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, and Oakland.

Due to upcoming construction on the All Souls building, Hearts Leap North will be relocating their classrooms to the beautiful Arlington Community Church in Kensington. In addition to the relocation, we’ll be expanding to include a toddler classroom for children as young as 18 months starting in September, 2024.

This Hearts Leap site an intimate setting with two classrooms. We enroll up to 16 children in our 2’s classroom (Juniper Room) with 3 teachers and up to 21 children with 3 teachers in our mixed age classroom (Sequoia Room).

Community & Relationships

Hearts Leap North is a special gem of a school where we believe in developing strong relationships with the children and families to make the overall preschool experience special and memorable for all! We create community in many different ways including:

• monthly breakfast potlucks,

• inviting families in the classroom to bake, read, learn new languages, cultures and family traditions,

• going on field trips,

• weekend playdates,

• a back to school picnic,

• adults-only dinners,

• our annual auction & gala,

and so much more! The environment has a homey feeling and one that makes you want to stay and play.
